Ever wonder, what in the world can I do to get out of the house?
This thought has been frequent lately as we received our 2nd snow shower of the winter. While beautiful, the cold temps often deter the desire to...DO ANYTHING ! :)
Here are some fun winter activities that are sure to bring the kid out in all of us.
1. Snow Bonfire
Break out the chairs, get that fire going, and while you're at it crack open some S'mores.
Yes, you can always walk in the snow, but how cool would it be to walk on top of it? Talk about a novel and low impact way to enjoy the fluffy stuff
3. Snow Angels
Yep! Do it. No instructions needed !
4. Walk and Listen
It is amazing how the trees and the water sound so different after a good snowfall. Listen and take in the beauty of nature
5. Hot Cocoa and Blanket
Instead of reading inside, fill up a mug with some hot cocoa, bring a blanket or two and sit outside - take it all in. It's amazing what being outside can do for our minds.
6. Photo expedition
Everything is so different in the winter. The snow, the way the water reflects, even the water color changes. Take pictures, send them to friends. What a great way to reconnect!
7. Have dogs or kids?
Make an obstacle course with tunnels and jumps. Or better yet, build an igloo :)
8. Snow painting!
Add food coloring to water, put in a spray bottle and break out that inner DaVinci! Tip: Use natural food coloring
